That is why we are proud to have Child and Adolescent Development Specialist, Robyn J. A. Silverman, PhD as a member of our staff. Dr. Robyn provides a multitude of resources to the families of our academy for the betterment of our children. Here at Infinity Gymnastics Academy, our character education program used within the context of our organized Gymnastics, Cheer & Ninja Warrior classes, invites students to listen, share, discover and reflect on the ways to become upstanding members of our community as well as confident individuals in their own right. OUR FACILITY We are located at 1625 Exchange St. in Astoria, OR. Our 12,000 Square Foot Gym includes the following apparatuses. Bars, Beam, Vault, Spring Free enclosed Trampoline, Floor Exercise, Spring Floor, Spring Floor Tumble strip, pommel horse, Parallel Bars, and a preschool gymnastics room.
OUR ORGANIZATION Infinity Gymnastics Academy is a non profit school of recreational gymnastics and Competitive gymnastics operated by a board of Directors that are responsible for management of the facility and programs, and all business and fundraising activities. The Gymnastics Program Director and Head Coach, Douglas Oldham is responsible for the content of classes, lesson plans, assignment of gymnasts to the appropriate classes, supervision of all instructors and oversight of all recreational gymnastics and tumble/cheer classes. The Executive Director- Nancy Taylor, is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plans of the organization, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
SAFETY Safety is our number one priority. We focus on safety and proper technique to reduce the risk of injury. We know that building strength and conditioning and proper technique we can greatly reduce the risk of injury. All of our lead instructors are safety certified by USAG and are subject to a background check. All of our lead instructors are First Aid and CPR Certified. Only gymnasts registered in classes and under instruction are allowed beyond the designated viewing area or on the equipment. Prior to class, only gymnastics instructors are allowed in the gym area. All students must wait in the viewing room until their coach comes to get them.
